Captains & Owners
What is The Crew Dock?
The back office for yacht day workers and freelance crew. Crew log time, expenses and receipts and sign their paperwork on their phone; you see what's missing, what's ready to pay and what's been paid. It isn't payroll and it doesn't send money.
How do I start a free trial?
- Go to Start Your Free Trial and enter your name, email, mobile and a password, your billing company, a fleet name and your first vessel.
- Tick “I agree to the Terms of Service” and tap Create account and start trial. Your 14 days start right away.
- No card is needed to start. Before the trial ends, add one on Billing & Plan (Add Payment Method) to keep your fleet running. Nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time.
No card when the trial ends? The fleet goes on hold: only the Owner can sign in, to Billing & Plan, to add one, and everyone is back in once Stripe confirms the card.
What does it cost?
One plan with every feature: $99 a month for your first vessel and $49 for each additional vessel, plus applicable sales tax. Billed monthly from your start date; a vessel you make Inactive is billed through the balance of the current billing cycle. Crew logins are free. See Pricing.
How do I add or remove a vessel?
- Open Vessels from the owner menu, fill in the vessel and tap Add Vessel. You see the new monthly total before anything is saved.
- To stop using one, tap Make Inactive. Make Active brings it back.

- Open a name and tick the lines to pay.
- Send the money as you normally do (most crew list Zelle). Then enter Date paid, Method and Reference and tap Record Payment.
They get a “Payment sent” email with the PAID invoice. The Crew Dock records the payment; it never moves money.
How do I approve crew documents?
The Dashboard's Documents to Review lists crew with uploads waiting. Open one and tap Approve. An approved document is locked; to have it replaced, tap Ask for a New Copy.
Who can see crew tax IDs and W-9s?
The Owner, and the Admins the Owner has given private-data access on Team & Rights. Everyone else sees a masked view, and company exports show only the last 4 digits.
Can I export our records or cancel?
Owners and Admins can export a crew member's records any time from Edit Crew (Export Crew Data). The Owner can export the whole fleet from Data & Account (Export All My Data); we email the link when it's ready.
To cancel, the Owner taps Close My Account on Data & Account. If you've added a card, it stops renewing. The fleet stays read only for 30 days so everyone can still sign in and export; then it closes. Keep My Account undoes it until then. You can also cancel the plan in Stripe's billing page: Manage Billing on Billing & Plan.
My crew sent me an invoice from The Crew Dock. What is it?
Your crew may already send you invoices through The Crew Dock. Invoice Any Boat is our tool for freelance crew; their invoices are private to them. Run your whole crew here and their paperwork comes to you in one place.
Does The Crew Dock make my crew independent contractors?
No. It keeps the paperwork and payment records of how you engage crew. It doesn't decide anyone's worker status and isn't legal or tax advice; talk to your own adviser.
