Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Crew Dock platform. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you are using The Crew Dock on behalf of a vessel or company, you represent that you are authorized to do so. When you agree to these Terms we keep a record of the version you agreed to, when, and the device address and browser you used.

The Service

The Crew Dock provides crew paperwork and payment records for yacht day workers and freelance crew, including crew onboarding, document storage, timecards, expenses, approvals, invoicing, and payment records. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Vessel, owner, captain, or management accounts are responsible for the crew members they invite.

Engagement and Removal

Each vessel, owner or management company decides for itself which crew members it works with. A company may decline to engage any crew member, and The Crew Dock may remove any person from the platform, at its discretion and without giving a reason, except where the law forbids it.

Your Personal Data

Notes a company keeps about a crew member in The Crew Dock are personal data about that crew member, and the crew member may ask to see them. Crew members may request a copy of their data held in The Crew Dock. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including by attempting to access data you are not authorized to view, disrupting the service, uploading unlawful or harmful content, or using the platform to violate any applicable law.

Submissions and Records

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, including timecards, expenses, tax forms, and reports. The Crew Dock maintains an operational record on behalf of the vessel but is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of submitted data.

Fees

Fleet plans are billed to the vessel, owner, captain, or management company. Crew members are never charged for their work with a fleet. Fees, plan details, and billing terms are described on our pricing page and any applicable order.

Invoice Any Boat, for crew who invoice boats themselves, includes 3 free invoices each calendar month. The Unlimited plan is $49 a year, plus applicable sales tax, charged to your card through Stripe. It renews automatically each year at the same price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from My Plan (Manage Billing). When you cancel, you keep Unlimited until the end of the year you paid for, you are not charged again, and you go back to the free plan. Payments are not refunded for part of a year.

Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Crew Dock is an operational tool and does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or compliance advice. You are responsible for meeting your own legal and tax obligations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Crew Dock will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or for operational, legal, or security reasons. You may stop using the platform at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Each change gets a new version and effective date, shown above. The next time you sign in after a change, we will ask you to read and agree to the new version before you continue.
